Your role as an Academy Coach for Ferdinand Football is to take on the training and fixture responsibility for your allocated Squad(s) with Ferdinand Academy, working under the guidance of our Academy Manager and Academy Syllabus.
The FFG Academy and Select program is currently the pinnacle of our business model, with the sole aim of player development. The program has been formed to maximise the amount of competition, training level and contact time with the head coaches. Our squads are made up from the strongest players at each age group within our system and places them in a constant environment of learning which is suitable for their age and ability.

Candidates will be required to hold Football Coaching qualifications, minimum at level 2/C License, plus in-date First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications with a proven record in high-calibre youth football coaching.

Qualifications and experience:

Relevant Sporting Degree Qualification – Desirable
FA Level 2/C License – Essential
UEFA B License – Desirable
2/3 Year Experience working in Sport Development – Essential
First Aid (minimum IFiF level) – Essential
Safeguarding -Essential
Microsoft Office & computer literacy – Desirable
Drivers license/own transport – Essential

Location: Basildon + travel for fixtures
Hours: Mondays 5pm – 7pm, Wednesdays 5pm – 7pm, Saturday Fixtures: Morning and Afternoon flexibility required
Wage: £15ph + travel expenses for away games
Start Date: End of August

Recruitment Process:
Candidates will be expected to attend the following recruitment process with FFG
• Email contact with CV and cover letter.
• Applicants successful from this point will be contacted via telephone/zoom for an initial assessment.
• Applicants successful from this point will be invited to meet the FFG team whereby they will be required to conduct a 20 minute presentation, details of expected content will be forwarded directly in good time to successful candidates. Candidates should allocated approx. 1 hour total for this interview and presentation.
