Ferdinand Football Group are delighted to announce our partnership with Basildon United Football Club for the coming season. FFG will be supporting and developing their foundation and youth teams from season 2021/22 whilst many other projects.

Both FFG and Basildon United are hoping this partnership creates the chances for all players in the Basildon area the opportunity to have access to play or train in our nations favourite sport. At FFG our ethos is that’s ‘Everybody’s Game’, laying the foundations in next generation football with Anton Ferdinand.

In addition, our aim is to create boys and girl’s teams who would develop through the Ferdinand’s Steps to Success pathway and progress into Basildon United’s Development Squads and first team. This also includes a Woman’s Senior team once created.

Director of FFG, Daniel Cornall, is delighted in the new partnership with Basildon United United Football Club. “I personally have a special bond with the Basildon area as this has given many special memories so far in my coaching journey. So, I am thrilled that I am able to support this project as a director of FFG and give more back to the local community. This new partnership with Basildon United Football Club is going to create many different opportunities for the boys, girls and adults across Basildon. We look forward to a long term successful partnership.”

FFG are looking forward to further developing this partnership and we’re excited about working alongside Basildon United who, as a club, are heading in a very positive direction with exciting long-term plans.

“I am very excited to be able to get this partnership over the line, working with FFG will enable us to grow our youth teams organically from the Ferdinand Steps to success programme, through to our first team for both men and women. This partnership will also enable us to provide football for those in the community who have children with a disability, this part of the programme is something I ideally wanted to be part of; having a child with a disability myself.

We look forward to a bright future working in partnership with FFG and hope our youth sections can become something the community can be proud of.” Basildon United Chairman, Lee Conner.

We look forward to working with Lee and his team for the coming season.
